Having said that, a brake booster should hold enough vacuum to allow the brake pedal to be easily depressed at least 1 to 2 times even after the vehicle has been.

Honda crv not starting brake pedal stiff. The truck started normally when i pushed the brake pedal and hit the start button. Is it just the abs light? Need to step very hard on the brake pedal before i can start the car.

Some vehicles takes anywhere between 10 minutes to half hour to settle. I have a 2017 honda crv and it won't start. Eps and starter system lights come on and push start won't work.

It's not the weather cuz fl is hot. When i manage to start the car, the brake pedal gets back normal. B) on the last push of the brake pedal, hold moderate pressure on the brake pedal.

Just did the brake pedal test. Some vehicles can draw a little more due to the extra tech/electronics. It has the push button/brake technology starting system.

The dash lights all come on. Or is the brake system warning light on, too? So the vacuum system was not drained and we don't know what was causing the brake to be stiff the first few times.

But the car is in park. The vehicle was restarted and drove as designed. I've had my ex 2wd for about 3 weeks.

During startup in the morning, if the car has not been used overnight or sitting for a long period of time, the brake pedal is very hard, and would not depress. I have a 2017 honda crv and it won't start. She got back in the car again and tried again.

To give you guys an idea how stiff it is, it's like when you pump the brakes whilst the engine is off. Dash lights up as usual but brake pedal does not move up or down. My mom tried a few times and it wouldn't depress.

As soon as it starts, the pressure is released. Can't start a car without depressing a brake. Discussion starter · #1 · mar 13, 2017.

Don’t push like you are panic stopping, but simply hold pressure like you are sitting at a red light. 10 times should have used all of the stored vacuum correct? On other cars, including older crvs, the brake pedal would only feel like that if i pumped the brake a few times when the engine was off.

The brake pedal is hard to push and when i push the start button different lights come on in the car like the abs the battery light just to name a few. The start engine button is green when i push on the pedal, but flashes when i press it. Encounter problem with starting the car as the brake get very stiff after the car was park after about 2 hours.

The driver shifted into neutral as the speed decreased and placed the gear shifter into park. Sometimes it doesn’t start up at all. Normal would be around 50 milliamps or 0.050 amps or less.

Hey guys, my brake pedal is very stiff/very hard to press when starting up in the morning (and no, i don't press the brakes whilst the engine is off). 95% of the time, when starting the car, the brake pedal is very difficult push down. When i tried to start the car in the evening, it would not start:

Reconnect the master cylinder to the new brake booster. It also depends on the problem whether the vehicle can be started up again quickly or whether this can only be remedied with great effort or with the help of a professional. This is not the case however.

She got out of the car and called home. Torque the four bolts to specification and connect the brake pedal to the input piston. A) with the engine not running, press and depress the brake pedal several times to remove any vacuum from inside the booster.

In the past, this has happened when the car was locked from starting if the car was not in park. Just checking if other owners have experienced this: The braking system warning light was illuminated.

Twice now, on two different days, i go to start it, press the brake pedal, hit start button and the brake pedal feels stiff, stuck. Am taking it into the shop tomorrow. The brake pedal is hard to push and when i push the start button different lights come on in the car like the abs the battery light just to name a few.

I pressed the brake pedal 10 times before pressing the start button and it had no effect on the starting or on the firmness of the brake pedal. The brake pedal is hard to push down. I have sent the american honda company an email and included this forum link to let them know that there are a fair number of us with this issue.

And i just drove it no problem an hour ago. Will let you all know if they write back with anything. This time, the brake depressed as it should and the car started.

It is now having trouble starting up when the brake pedal kicks my foot up with trying to start it, then the consoles says please wait as the timer go round and round and round.
